Support Group for LGBTQ+ Youth and Their Allies

Wilton Pride, in collaboration with Lighthouse and Middlebrook PTA presents a peer-to-peer social support group for LGBTQ+ youth and their allies.

Meetings are relaxed and social in nature. No bullying is ever allowed, and everyone is given a chance to be heard in a safe and casual setting. Teens can drop in to share life experiences and feelings as well as to socialize, enjoy snacks, and share common bonds in Lighthouse’s confidential, non-threatening environment.

This group is brought to Wilton by Lighthouse, a program of Kids in Crisis that serves lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer+ (LGBTQ+) teens and their allies with a welcoming and safe weekly meeting. Lighthouse encourages LGBTQ+ youth to live their best, healthiest, and most authentic lives.  Lighthouse empowers LGBTQ+ youth to clarify issues, gain skills and resiliency, and envision and seek healthy, productive, and fulfilling adult lives.

Meetings are held every Thursday at Comstock Community Center from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
