Support Group for Parents of Children with Special Needs

SPED*NET is offering a series of six support group meetings for families of children with special needs, such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health challenges (e.g., depression; anxiety), etc. The meetings will be facilitated by school psychologist David P. Sylvestro.

The group will meet by Zoom on six Tuesday mornings from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Dates are: Feb. 15, Mar. 1, Mar. 15, Mar. 29, Apr. 12, and Apr. 26. Themes include: Staying flexible in the midst of change; Moving from acceptance to empowerment; centering ourselves in a high achieving, competitive community; Talking to your extended family; and more of your choosing. Participation fee: $60 for the six-part series. (Scholarships are available for anyone who cannot afford the participation fee at this time.)
