Take the Stage: An Acting Workshop for Teens
August 10 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
FREE
Students participating in this workshop at Wilton Library will have the wonderful opportunity to try their hands at some theatre games, improvisations and acting exercises. Everyone will participate in this exciting exploration without feeling put on the spot. The workshop will begin with some fun and inviting warm-up games that gradually build their way to more challenging improvisations. Though disguised as play, these exercises work on a student’s concentration, creativity and critical thinking skills.
Workshop leader, Ingrid Schaeffer, is Chair of the Theatre Department at ACES Educational Center for the Arts. She is the director of her own private creative dramatics program, InterAct Summer Theatre, for children. She is a member of Actor’s Equity, The American Alliance for Theatre in Education and The American Theatre Association.
Registration is required. This program is for teens in rising grades 6-12 only. Register on the Wilton Library’s website.
