Join Wilton Library for a presentation on the Career and Films of Steven Spielberg. Spielberg is widely considered to be one of the most influential and successful filmmakers of all time. His career spans over four decades.
Spielberg is best known for his epic blockbusters, such as Jaws (1975), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), E.T. the ExtraTerrestrial (1982), and the Indiana Jones franchise. In addition, he is also known for emotionally charged dramas like Schindler’s List (1993), which won him his first Academy Award for Best Director. He is also widely acclaimed for Saving Private Ryan (1998) and its realistic depiction of World War II. His success includes five Academy Award nominations for Best Director and three wins. He is established as a visionary filmmaker, whose impact on the film industry is immeasurable.
Greg Blank, a Long Island based filmmaker, film historian, and lecturer, hosts. He has over 15 years of producing, directing, cinematography, and editing experience.
