Treating Concussion in the Youth Athlete (Zoom)
August 24 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Please join Wilton Library via Zoom for an informative presentation on concussion risk and treatment.
A concussion can happen in an instant even with a helmet on, and the impact can last a lifetime if not properly diagnosed and managed effectively. A concussion injury usually occurs from a blow to the head or body which causes the brain to move back and forth in the skull. Recognizing and treating the symptoms can help prevent long-term health problems and more injuries. Learn how to recognize symptoms and hear the latest evidence-based medicine to help maximize recovery and get patients back to their daily activities without causing further injury.
Dr. Ben Greene, MD is board certified in both primary care sports medicine and pediatrics. Dr. Greene specializes in the non-operative management of musculoskeletal injuries in adults and children.
There is no charge for this program. Registration is required in order to receive the Zoom invitation link. Register on the Wilton Library website.
Co-sponsored by ONS (Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists).
