Weekend Workshops – Holiday Nutcrackers

It’s time to get into the holiday spirit! On Saturday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m.–12 p.m., children will have the opportunity to decorate their own wooden nutcrackers, craft delicate paper ballerinas, and enjoy a snack of gingerbread cookies and apple cider with the Wilton Historical Society. Museum educator Catherine Lipper will also discuss the historic significance of decorative nutcrackers in German folklore and their popularity thanks to Tchaikovsky’s famous Nutcracker Ballet.

The program is suggested for ages 6-10. The cost for members is $10 per child; for non-members, the cost is $15 per child.
