Where the Wild Things Run 5K & Kids Fun Run

Run Wild for Woodcock!
90% trails, 100% outdoor fun.

Woodcock Nature Center welcomes runners, hikers, and walkers of all ages at its annual Where the Wild Things Run 5K and Kids Fun Run. This year a hybrid-virtual race will be offered between Oct. 23-25 (hours of 8 a.m.-6 p.m. only) on the Woodcock Trails. Sign-up online to track your time. Run/walk on your own schedule! You can even become a fundraiser and promote your run to friends and family to increase your impact.

For several decades, this event has highlighted Woodcock’s nearly five miles of publicly accessible trails and raised money for the center’s educational programs. All proceeds support the nature center!

The popular 5K is 90% trail with a mix of groomed trails, rugged trails, and narrow bridges/boardwalks. The terrain of the 5K highlights the diversity and beauty of the Woodcock property. A shorter 1K Kids Fun Run geared towards ages 6-and-up is appropriate for walkers and runners of all ages.
