WHS Girls Basketball “Coaches vs. Cancer” Game

The Wilton High School Girls Varsity Basketball team will play against the Fairfield Warde Mustangs in this year’s “Coaches vs. Cancer” game, this Friday, Jan. 24–the ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. and game tip-off is at 7 p.m..
The team will host a bake sale during the game. At halftime, the 6/7th grade girls Wilton Hoops travel team will play an exhibition game, followed by a raffle drawing; 100% of the proceeds from the bake sale and the raffle will benefit the American Cancer Society.
The team members running the event this year are Zoe Rappaport, Katie Umphred, and Caitlin Greef.
About Coaches vs Cancer: For over 25 years, the Coaches vs. Cancer program, in collaboration with the National Association of Basketball Coaches, has united coaches and fans nationwide to help the American Cancer Society defeat a common enemy–cancer. With player passion and dedicated fan support, the impact has been felt in communities nationwide.
Through fundraising and education initiatives, the Coaches vs. Cancer program has supported the American Cancer Society in its efforts to save lives from cancer in the US and worldwide.
