Wilton League of Women Voters & Wilton Library Community Discussion: De-Mystifying the State Budget

April 4, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free

The Wilton League of Women Voters and the Wilton Library invite guests to a discussion about Connecticut’s fiscal challenges with Connecticut Mirror State budget reporter Keith Phaneuf. He’ll provide a sobering, yet entertaining, speech about Connecticut’s profound budget challenges, review how we got here, and outline our options.

Join us at the Wilton Library on Thursday, April 4, at 7 p.m..

An award-winning reporter, Phaneuf has been the Connecticut Mirror’s State budget reporter since 2010. In this role he analyzes and reports on all aspects of state government finances, including the budget development process, pension funding, income tax equity, waste in government, and the impact of the state’s budgeting and financial policy decisions. Phaneuf is a graduate of, and a former journalism instructor at, the University of Connecticut.

The talk is co-sponsored by the Wilton Library and the Wilton League of Women Voters. It is free and open to all. Registration is strongly encouraged online through the Wilton Library Association or by calling the Library at 203.762.6334.
