Wilton Library Readers: Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver

Professional book discussion leader Susan Boyar discusses Demon Copperhead, by Barbara Kingsolver this month. Demon Copperhead is the story of the son of an Appalachian teenager who uses his good looks, wit and instincts to survive foster care, child labor, addiction, disastrous loves and crushing losses. It was inspired by David Copperfield, by Charles Dickens. While it is not necessary to have read David Copperfield, familiarity with the story is very helpful and will add extra enjoyment to the discussion.
