Wilton Reads: Wilton Library Readers – The Great Divide by Cristina Henriquez

Professional book discussion leader Susan Boyar discusses the Wilton Reads selection The Great Divide by Cristina Henriquez this month at Wilton Library. The Great Divide is a fascinating historical novel about one of the greatest engineering feats in history, the Panama Canal. It explores the interwoven stories of laborers, locals, activists, doctors, scientists. It sheds light on unsung heroes from all walks of life who lived and worked alongside the massive project. They witnessed firsthand the human cost of progress as they fought to survive amid turmoil and disease.

The Great Divide is a TODAY Show Read with Jenna Book Club Pick, an Indie Next Pick, a LibraryReads Pick, and has been named a Best of the Month Pick by Amazon, TIME, The Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times.
