Oceans of Possibilities: Wilton Library Children’s Summer Reading Club 2022

Join Wilton Library's Children's Summer Reading Club, open to all kids through rising sixth grade. Once again, the library is doing "Read and Bead." Children will sign up through the library summer reading website or download the Beanstack app and choose Wilton Library (CT) to register. Participants should keep track of the time they spend reading and then log the number of minutes in Beanstack. For every 100 minutes, readers will receive a brag tag and beads or a book. All…

Summer Nutmeg Book Discussion

Rising 4th-6th graders can get ready for the Nutmeg award by discussing "Katie the Catsitter" by Colleen AF Venable and Stephanie Yue. When Katie gets a job catsitting for her mysterious upstairs neighbor, she doesn't realize she's in for the adventure of a lifetime. Could her neighbor really be a supervillain? Teddy Bear Picnic

Children ages two and up and their families can come to the Library with their favorite Teddy bear or Lovey! We will sing songs and have stories about Teddies. Then we will finish up with a Teddy Bear Parade through the Children's Library. No registration required.

Team STEAM Presents Engineering Fun

Kids entering grades K-4 can join Wilton Middle School Students' Team STEAM, as they teach little engineers the basics of the engineering design process in a fun, creative, and hands-on manner! Each session will tackle a different engineering-related problem and discuss what it takes to be an engineer. Do you love being outside and getting your hands dirty? Garden Club might be the place for you! Children in grades Kindergarten and up and a participating adult are invited to join our Children's Library staff in planting and maintaining the library's Children's Garden. Children will learn about gardening, hear stories, and get hands-on experience planting, weeding, watering and otherwise maintaining the garden throughout the spring, summer, and into the fall.
