As temperatures plummet on Tuesday, Jan. 21 and Wednesday, Jan. 22, Wilton Family YMCA (404 Danbury Rd.) officials said the facility is opening its doors as a warming center for anyone who needs a safe and comfortable place to escape the cold.

“Our lobby will be accessible to all, providing a comfortable atmosphere where you can relax, warm up, and charge your devices. In the unfortunate event of a power loss or burst pipes, we are here for you! Our showers and locker rooms will also be available,” YMCA Director of Marketing Michelle Wishna said.

Wishna added that officials encourage sharing this information with others in the community “to extend our support to everyone in need.”
