GOOD Kids Activity: Wilton Churches Host Free Hands-On Organ Workshop for Kids 8+ — Register Now

Young musicians and curious kids ages 8 and up are invited to take part in a free, hands-on music workshop on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. that brings together history, science, engineering, creativity and sound at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and Wilton Presbyterian Church in Wilton.
Designed as a STEAM-style educational experience, the Pedals, Pipes, Pizza & Orgelkids program combines music, mechanics and hands-on learning. Children will learn how pipe organs work and hear demonstrations, and students who already play piano or another instrument are encouraged to bring their music and try it on the organ keyboards.
The program is ideal for piano students, young instrumentalists, homeschoolers and families who value hands-on learning experiences. No prior organ experience is required, just curiosity and an interest in music. Register online!

GOOD Nature: Backyard Bobcat Visitor
Spotted this week in the Cannondale area was this beauty of a bobcat. Thanks to Jamie Shultz for sending it to GOOD Morning Wilton.
“We’ve seen a bobcat a few times but this time it basically acted like a cat. We were so shocked when we looked out the window and it was literally sitting right outside our window, relaxing, comfortable, and acting like a pet. So magical. He saw us and was completely happy to interact with us. Look at us stretch and relax,” Shultz said.
“He sat there for a good half an hour, just resting on the steps, looking for a warm place amongst the snow.”

GOOD To Celebrate: Wilton Coalition for Youth Celebrates John Miscioscia as Community Champion

Congratulations to John Miscioscia on being named the Wilton Coalition for Youth’s February 2026 Community Champion. As part of the #WiltonIsWhereYouBelong campaign, the Coalition spotlights one individual each month for their positive influence, work or commitment to the Wilton community.
The Wilton Coalition for Youth’s description about Miscioscia’s contributions is effusive. Some may say that service as a first responder is in his blood, beginning when he served as a third generation volunteer firefighter in Tarrytown, NY in the 70s and 80s. Here in Wilton, he was nominated for his service with Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps (WVAC). Since joining WVAC in 2012, Miscioscia has been a steady, helpful presence to countless community members in their time of need. He has also helped guide and lead WVAC, serving as treasurer for two years and president for over seven and a half years. As his nomination notes, “His leadership has brought new members, and a soon-to-be-new headquarters. He has continued to cultivate the relationship between WVAC and all the emergency services in Wilton.”
The Wilton Coalition for Youth is made up of a myriad of organizations, town departments and individuals who serve youth and families in Wilton. Spearheaded by the Wilton Youth Council, Coalition members work together to coordinate efforts aimed at preventing substance misuse and promoting the mental health and emotional well-being of youth and families.
To nominate someone as a Community Champion, submit a brief online nominating form; each month, Coalition members review nominations and select a Community Champion who is announced in GOOD Morning Wilton.
