Wilton residents — especially members of the Wilton High School Class of 2026 and their families — will be happy to know they have a scheduled graduation date. On Thursday night, Board of Education members approved the suggestion brought by WHS Principal Robert O’Donnell to hold this year’s graduation on Saturday, Jun. 13.

- Keeping strictly to the Board of Finance‘s recommended guidance for a budget increase, Wilton Public Schools’ Superintendent Kevin Smith presented the BOE with a $100,459,485 budget proposal for Fiscal Year ’27, representing a 3.6% increase over the current year’s operating budget.
- Second Selectman Ross Tartell made remarks in the public comment period of the BOE meeting in a move that was highly unusual for a public official.

GOOD To Check: Wilton Residents Can Get Free Radon Testing Kits from Town Health Department

The Wilton Health Department has partnered with the Connecticut State Department of Public Health to offer a limited amount of free radon test kits to Wilton residents for testing the presence of radon gas in their homes. The free kits are now available and will also include postage-paid envelopes for shipment to the laboratory. Wilton’s Health Department said any residents who choose to participate will be required to utilize the kit “as promptly as possible” after picking it up from the department at the Town Hall Annex. Residents can register to receive a free test kit via email. Call the department at 203.563.0174 with any questions.
