GOOD Fun! Wilton Historical Society’s Taste in Time Tickets are Going Fast!

The Wilton Historical Society’s Taste in Time fundraiser returns on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 6-9 p.m., and it promises a party for the ages!
Take a step back in time and experience cuisine and cocktails of the past to support the Wilton Historical Society’s effort to keep Wilton’s stories alive and foster the next generation of history makers.
Food and cocktails by Marcia Selden Catering will have the flavors of historic time periods in the charming and storied buildings of the museum complex. This year’s themes are Colonial America, 1950s Sock Hop and 1970s Disco. Guests are invited — and encouraged — to embrace the theme with historical costumes and dress.
There’s also a VIP experience available with a behind the scenes look at rarely seen objects from the museum’s collection with WHS Director Nick Foster.

GOOD Student Achievement: WHS Students Earn Seven Scholastic Art Awards

Students from Wilton High School earned honors from the 2026 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, a prestigious national program that has recognized creative excellence among students in grades 7–12 since 1923. The Scholastic Awards are among the nation’s longest-running and most respected programs recognizing creative excellence in students nationwide.
The following WHS students were recognized:
- Grace Gordon: Gold Key Award, Mixed Media
- Edward Musser: Gold Key Award, Illustration
- Ariana Peters: Gold Key Award, Painting
- Samantha McDonnell: Silver Key Award and Hartford Art School Scholarship, Portfolio
- Moon Zhang: Silver Key Award, Drawing and Collage
- Patrick Luce: Honorable Mention, Photography
- Theodore Satrazemis: Honorable Mention, 2D Art
Recipients of the Gold Key, the highest regional honor, will advance to the national level of competition. National award winners will be announced later this spring.
GOOD Business: Founders of Wilton’s Melissa & Doug Inducted into Toy Hall of Fame

Doug and Melissa Bernstein, founders of Wilton-based Melissa & Doug, were inducted into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame at the 2026 Toy Foundation’s Toy of the Year Awards Gala in New York City on Friday, Feb. 13. According to a press release from the company, the honor recognizes the pair’s “lasting influence on the toy industry and their decades-long commitment to creating toys that spark imagination and support meaningful child development through purposeful play.”
GOOD Finish: Wilton Boys Swim & Dive Complete Dual Meet Season at 8-1

The Wilton High School boys swim and dive team finished the dual meet season with an 8-1 record after wins over Fairfield Co-op and Darien High School. It was a strong first season leading the boys team for coaches Matt Salig and Zach Towers.
On Monday, Feb. 9, Wilton defeated Fairfield behind strong performances from Henry Gimby and Hirsh Iyer. Gimby won the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke, while Iyer won the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke. Other event winners were Adam Mims (200 freestyle), Andrew Mims (50 freestyle), Ozzy Andrews (100 freestyle), and Lucas Fontana (500 freestyle).
On Wednesday, Feb. 11, Wilton celebrated Senior Day with a 97-81 win over Darien at the Wilton Y pool. Seniors led the way. Andrew Mims won the 200 and 100 freestyle. Fontana won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly. Iyer won the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Sam Jacobson added a win in the 100 breaststroke. Wilton also won the 200 medley relay with Andrews, Jacobson, Fontana and Iyer.
The team honored its seniors with a short ceremony during the meet, including Andrews, Shreyas Damle, Fontana, Iyer, Jacobson, Ethan Lam, and Andrew Mims.

- 200 medley relay: First (Andrews, Jacobson, Fontana and Iyer); third (Will Satara, Gimby, Adam Mims and Kurt Jeschke); and fifth (Mariano Beltrano, Yihan Luo, Jackson Norful and Jakub Kruk)
- 200 freestyle: First (Andrew Mims); third (Lam) and fourth (Greg Pinchbeck)
- 200 individual medley: First (Fontana) and second (Gimby)

- 100 breaststroke: First (Jacobson), third (Luo) and fifth (Beltrano)

Wilton now enters Championship season and will compete at the FCIAC’s at Greenwich in February, the CIAC Class M State Championships at Cornerstone pool and the Connecticut State Open at Yale to close out the season in March.
