It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kelly Marie (McLaughlin) Heise, 38, of Norwalk, on Saturday, Feb. 1 at Norwalk Hospital.
Kelly was the loving wife of Stephen Heise, devoted mother to Gabriella Heise, and beloved daughter of Bruce and Ronni (Moser) McLaughlin of Wilton. She is also survived by her brothers, Brian McLaughlin and his wife Danielle; and Patrick McLaughlin, his son Brenden McLaughlin and his fiancée Sarah Velesbir and their daughter Madison McLaughlin. Kelly was born in Merrick, NY. She is now with her brother, Daniel McLaughlin, who passed in 2004.
Kelly moved to Wilton at the age of five. In Wilton, she excelled at playing softball where she made many great friends. She was a tough girl, very competitive and would never turn down a challenge, especially with her three brothers.
Kelly received her bachelor’sdegree from the University of Connecticut and her master’s degree in psychology from Sacred Heart University. After graduation she worked in a homeless shelter helping women and children. After that she worked at St. Vincent’s hospital in the psychiatric ward. She always wanted to help those in need.
In 2017 Kelly and Stephen blessed the world with the birth of their daughter Gabriella. As Gabby grew up, Kelly shared her love of fashion, arts and crafts, and baking with her. They were inseparable as they cherished every moment together, always laughing and playing. Her world revolved around her daughter who she loved so much.
Kelly was a free spirit. She did not care what anyone else thought of her and she did not judge anyone else. She always gave everyone a fair chance no matter who they were or where they came from.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 7, from 4-8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home (12 Mott Ave., Norwalk). Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church (229 Danbury Rd.). Burial will be held privately.
