The iconic Minks to Sinks tag sale is now underway! Donations and consignments began Tuesday, Apr. 29, (395 Danbury Rd.), and the semi-annual event promises a weekend filled with bargain hunts and community spirit.

This event not only allows shoppers to find unique items at competitive prices but also supports Family & Children’s Agency’s critical services.

Hundreds of thousands of items are donated each year to what is known as New England’s largest tag sale, and it is the nearly 200 dedicated volunteers who make the sale possible.

Minks to Sinks had its first rummage sale organized by volunteers in Wilton in 1931. A women-run organization with more than 90 years of history, Minks to Sinks brings donations and deals to the Wilton area twice each year with all proceeds of these epic tag sales benefitting Family & Children’s Agency.

This year’s Sale Days schedule is:

  • Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.: Full day of shopping
  • Sunday, May 4 from 12-4 p.m.: Bargain Day with everything half off
  • Monday, May 5 from 9-11 a.m.: Fill a bag for $10

Donation and Consignment schedule:

  • Tuesday, Apr. 29 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Apr. 30 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Apr. 30 from 4-6:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 1 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (Donations only)

All donations made to Minks to Sinks are tax-deductible. Visit the Minks to Sinks website for a list of donation and consignment guidelines, including information about what can and cannot be accepted.

To consign, bring items to the tents and sign up on the consigning board. No appointments are scheduled and only Wilton residents can consign.

Consignors receive 50% of the ticket price for any item sold on Saturday of the sale. Items sold Sunday and Monday are sold at half of the ticketed price and all proceeds go to Minks to Sinks. Minimum value for consigned items is $20.

More information about the sale and Family & Children’s Agency is available online.

Location: 395 Danbury Road, at the corner of School Road and Route 7, near the Wilton High School tennis courts.

Since 2013, GMW has worked hard to bring you timely, independent news that's available to everyone at no cost. No other news source covers Wilton, and only Wilton, full-time. What makes this local public service possible is reader support. For as little as $5 a month, a GOOD Morning Wilton membership can keep local, independent news going in Wilton. Please consider supporting us today. Thank you,

Heather Borden Herve, GMW Editor/Publisher
