Paul Edward Forsman, Jr, a longtime resident of Wilton, died peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 7 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport at the age of 84. Forsman was the president of the C.H. Foresman Company, and worked for the Charter Oak Insurance Agency in Wilton Ct. until he retired in 2013. He was also a member of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce.

Born on Nov. 29, 1932 in New Rochelle, NY, he attended the University of Notre Dame. Before moving to Wilton, he lived in Larchmont, NY. Forsman had a passion for golf–he was a lifetime member of Winged Foot Golf Club and served as president from 1979-1981. He had a love for the water and sailing at the Larchmont Yacht Club, and was a former Frostbite I.C. dinghy champion.

He is survived by his four children–Paul (Cornelia) of Bridgehampton, NY, James (Kirsten) of Largo, FL, William (Pollena) of Larchmont NY, Carrie of New Milford, CT and stepson Sean Doyle of Westport–as well as 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visiting hours are Thursday, Jan. 12, at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 2080 Boston Post Rd. in Larchmont, NY. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont.
