Backyard Bobcat Gets Its Next Meal
Gregory Reppucci photographed this beautiful bobcat in his backyard. Says his wife Kelsey Reppucci, “Upon arriving home one Sunday, we spotted this beauty sitting near our old stone wall for about 10 minutes before a squirrel came into its line of sight. The bobcat waited patiently as the squirrel came running along the stone wall and was spotted for an early dinner catch.”

Life is rough on the bottom of the food chain. I had a fox here today with a squirrel in its’ mouth. That is the reason nobody should use poisons to kill anything. If you poison a mouse or a squirrel, something else will eat it and die. Catch your mice in a have-a-heart trap and relocate them to a remote area. Something will eat them. This is the food chain. Once the squirrels, chipmunks and mice disappear, so do the foxes, coyotes, and bobcats. Then the rodents come back and so do the other critters.
