As of today, Monday, Feb. 26, Wilton Library has opened its ticket sale portal for its Spring Escape Fundraiser being held on Saturday, April 6 from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at the library. At the event, guests will take a journey around the world and visit exotic destinations and vacation spots through gourmet food, imaginative cocktails, and cultural adventures.
“We are delighted to host our Spring Escape Fundraiser, bringing an international theme to the library in a creative party setting, with passed hors d’oeuvres and specialty drinks. If you enjoy travel, imagination, and our library community, this event is for you,” Wilton Library Executive Director Caroline Mandler said. “This party is a great opportunity to gather your friends for a fun night out in Wilton. All proceeds from this event will directly support our incredible collections, programs, and services that benefit our entire community.”
WLA Trustee and Development Committee Chair Jennifer Longmire said the event committee is excited to plan a fun-filled party benefitting the library.
“We truly enjoy seeing our friends, supporters, and new Wilton residents at these special events,” she said. “Betsy Huffman, our talented decorating chair, is doing an incredible job designing creative backdrops and decorations that really bring our travel theme to life. We sincerely thank all of our partners and sponsors. Their generosity and support make this evening possible.”
As guests travel through the library’s open spaces at the event, they will be transported across the USA to Hawaii, down to Mexico and South America, around European hotspots, and farther afield to Asia and Africa. Wilton Library’s passport to adventure includes international cuisine and cocktails unique to each destination, an open bar, a silent auction of specially curated items, a special drawing, an international wine pull, a 360°photo booth, and more.
