This Christmas season, Wilton Congregational Church joyfully opens its doors — and its heart — to the entire Wilton community. Rooted in New England tradition and alive with the hope and beauty of the season, the historic 18th-century sanctuary becomes a place to gather, reflect, sing, celebrate and reconnect with what matters most.

Whether you’re looking for meaningful worship, festive family fun, or a moment of quiet in a busy month, you are warmly invited to Wilton Congregational Church.

Advent Sundays: A Season of Light Leading up to Christmas

  • Sunday, Dec. 7 — Cookies, Crèche and Carols: After the 9:30 a.m. worship service, families can enjoy the annual Cookies, Crèche and Carols celebration, complete with friendly live animals along with hot cocoa and cookies (outdoors in the church courtyard — bring your warm gear!).
  • Sunday, Dec. 14 — Christmas Pageant: At 10 a.m., children and adults will present the beloved Christmas Pageant in the sanctuary, filled with music, colorful scenery and traditional costumes.
  • Sunday, Dec. 21 — Handbell Choir: The 9:30 a.m. worship service will sparkle with the beautiful sounds of the English handbell choir.

Advent Month: Stillness Each Wednesday Morning

Each Wednesday morning during Advent, the classic New England sanctuary will be open from 7-11:00 a.m. for quiet prayer, reflection and meditation.

Christmas Eve Services: An Evening of Joyful Celebration

Wednesday, Dec. 24

  • 4 p.m.: family service, perfect for young children
  • 5 p.m.: caroling in the courtyard with a brass band — a new tradition outdoors (dress warmly) — come one, come all!
  • 6 p.m.: candlelight service, featuring music from vocal and instrumental ensembles, including the English handbells and the children’s choir

Honoring Our Veterans: Wreaths Across America

On Saturday, Dec. 13, Wilton Congregational Church will join Wreaths Across America, a national tradition honoring our veterans. All are invited to ceremonies at:

  • 10 a.m.: Wilton Veterans Memorial Green on Center St.
  • 12 p.m.: Sharp Hill Cemetery at Rte. 7 and Sharp Hill Rd.

Everyone in the community is welcome at all events!

For questions or more information, call the church office at 203.762.5591 or visit Wilton Congregational Church online.
