GOOD To Eat: Yum — It’s Girl Scout Cookie Time!

It’s that time of year when Samoas, Thin Mints, Do-Si-Dos and more delicious Girl Scout cookies are available for order from your local Girl Scout troops.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world. The girls practice and develop entrepreneurial skills, from learning how to interact with customers to creating budgets and taking orders, invaluable skills they’ll need to succeed throughout their lives.

Proceeds from the cookie program stay local to help fund the girl-led programs, experiences and more here at home. To order your favorite cookies and keep your support local for the troops in Wilton, visit the “cookie finder” website.

Whether or not you plan on enjoying some Girl Scout Cookies yourself, you can also donate boxes to local heroes or give them as a gift — cookies can be shipped nationwide. (Troops will also have cookie booths in Wilton at the usual locations — Orem’s, Stop & Shop, the American Legion, etc. — starting Mar. 15.)
