GOOD To Discover (and Save): Wilton Startup Helps Young Athletes Stay Fresh

Credit: Non Standard

Non Standard is a Wilton-based company focused on natural deodorant for youth athletes. It was founded in 2024 by Marcos Girado, a local parent of two soccer players, after he noticed that most personal care products on the market are designed for adults, not kids or teens.

After long tournament weekends, back-to-back practices, and plenty of time on the sidelines, Girado saw a recurring issue for young athletes: there were few options that balanced effectiveness with gentleness. He set out to create something that handle heavy athletic activity while still being appropriate for developing skin.

“We started it here in Wilton as sports parents because we could not find something clean that actually holds up on real sports days. We also kept seeing how long practices, tournaments, and car rides can turn into a confidence thing for kids and teens in sports,” he said.

Non Standard has created a special offer just for Wilton families. Use code Wilton10 at checkout for 10% off any purchase.
