Rain and chilly temperatures didn’t dampen the joy and spirit on Fujitani Field as Wilton High School graduated 296 members of the Class of 2025 on Saturday, June 14.
The students were commended for their academic achievements — in his presentation, WHS Assistant Principal Josh Marko noted their remarkable collective accomplishments, including ranking third in Connecticut for the math SAT, first in the EBRW (English-based Reading and Writing) section, and first in the NGSS science test.
Also notable were the seven students honored as valedictorians after achieving a 4.0 GPA through their four years at WHS: Courtney Allen, Danny Babashak, Olivia Cooper, Elle Hawthorne, Sina Patel, Caleb Sharp and Kinga Sigmond.

As is a tradition at Wilton High School, officials recognized a graduate who intends to enter the United States military. WHS Principal Dr. Robert O’Donnell asked Robert Berry to rise and accept a standing ovation for his promise to serve his country. Berry received a scholarship to attend Norwich University, the oldest of the senior military colleges in the United States and recognized as the birthplace of ROTC, and he will join the corps of cadets and the Army ROTC program there.
Dr. Kevin Smith delivered his emotional speech as not only the superintendent of schools but also as a father to one of the graduates. The graduates presented a class gift, with funds they raised supporting the creation of a green garden on a third-floor courtyard at WHS. And the class chose Dr. Kristina Harvey to give the faculty sendoff speech.
Congratulations to the Class of 2024!
