Wilton High School is bringing the excitement of the wizarding world to the Wilton community with its upcoming production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child High School Edition, based on an original story by J. K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne.

Wilton High School Theater is inviting the public to an enchanting experience as the talented high school students bring to life the eighth installment in the beloved Harry Potter series. This special edition, adapted for high school stages and performers, promises to captivate audiences with its mesmerizing characters and spellbinding story. Watch as WHS students are empowered to conjure the magic through their own creativity, making the show a truly exciting and engaging experience for students and audiences alike.

The show finds Harry, Ron, and Hermione 19 years after they saved the wizarding world, now back on a most extraordinary new adventure — this time, joined by a brave new generation that has only just arrived at the legendary Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When Harry Potter’s headstrong son, Albus, befriends the son of his fiercest rival, Draco Malfoy, it sparks an unbelievable new journey for them all, with the power to change the past and future forever.

The cast, crew and producers said that audiences should get ready for an unforgettable journey into the wizarding world, whether they are longtime fans of the Harry Potter series, or newcomers to the franchise.

“One of the best things about this show is that regardless of your familiarity with the Harry Potter stories, everyone can enjoy this performance,” WHS Theater Artistic Director Kathryn Luckstone said. “It’s a story about family, friendship and the challenges of growing up. It’s always that much more special seeing students playing students. The emotional journeys of these characters are very relatable and it allows our students to really put on someone else’s shoes. I think audiences are going to be blown away by the talent of our entire cast and crew.”

Performances will be held at the WHS Clune Center for the Arts (395 Danbury Rd.) on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for seniors and students and $20 for adults, and can be purchased on the Wilton High School Theatre website.
