This story has been written in part from a press release from Wilton Library.
Wilton Library announced its inaugural lineup for its new ASML Author Series, which has been created to introduce three high-profile authors per year whose work will encourage the library’s vision of a welcoming, engaged, and diverse community.
For the first year of the series, the library will kick off the program with popular best-selling author Mitch Albom, followed by best-selling author of young adult novels and poetry Jason Reynolds and award-winning children’s book illustrator and author LeUyen Pham.
The ASML Author Series is part of the library’s recently announced partnership with ASML as an expansion of the company’s generous support of the Library with multi-year funding and volunteer support. With ASML’s sponsorship, the author series is free and open to the public, and library officials strongly recommend advanced registration. Each author talk will take place at Wilton Library and will be followed by a Q&A with audience members and an author signing of their books.
The ASML Author Series schedule is as follows:
MITCH ALBOM — Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025 at 7 p.m.: To launch the ASML Author Series, Wilton Library presents New York Times best-selling author Mitch Albom, who is best known for his beloved stories of inspiration. To register, sign up on the Wilton Library website.
The question, “What if you got to do everything in your life —twice?” is at the heart of Albom’s newest novel, Twice, is a stunning love story that dares to explore how our unchecked desires might mean losing what we’ve had all along.
Albom takes readers on an unforgettable emotional journey through the life-defining choices we make and our fantasies about changing them. Twice is a poignant tale that will leave readers thinking about love, choices and redemption from beginning to end.
“Think of Mitch Albom as the Babe Ruth of popular literature, hitting the ball out of the park every time he’s at bat.” — Time
Albom is the author of numerous books of fiction and nonfiction, which have collectively sold 42 million copies in 48 languages worldwide. He has written eight number-one New York Times bestsellers — including Tuesdays with Morrie, the bestselling memoir of all time — award-winning television films, stage plays, screenplays, a nationally syndicated newspaper column and a musical.
Through his work at the Detroit Free Press, he was inducted into both the National Sports Media Association and Michigan Sports halls of fame and is the recipient of the 2010 Red Smith Award for lifetime achievement. He founded the nonprofit SAY Detroit, which provides pathways to success for Detroiters in need through major health, housing and education initiatives. He also founded a dessert shop and a gourmet popcorn line to help fund it. Albom operates Have Faith Haiti, a home and school for impoverished children and orphans in Port-au-Prince, which he visits monthly. He lives with his wife, Janine, in Michigan.
The first 400 people to register for and attend this event will receive a complimentary copy of Twice, which Albom will sign.
Elm Street Books will also be on site to sell additional copies of Twice. The library receives a portion of the proceeds from these sales.
Advance registration is strongly recommended. Register online or call 203.762.6334.

His new book, Coach, comes out on Oct. 14th and is the fifth book in the New York Times best-selling “Track” series.

Some of his other works include National Book Award Finalist Look Both Ways, Caldecott Honor There Was a Party for Langston, and Ain’t Burned All The Bright, a Caldecott Honor winner.
In his works, Reynolds aims to depict the rich inner lives of kids of color and ensure that they see themselves and their communities in literature.
Reynolds’ award-winning book, Look Both Ways: A Tale Told in Ten Blocks, was a National Book Award finalist, Carnegie Medal winner, and was named one of the best books of 2019 by NPR, The New York Times, School Library Journal, and more.
Reynolds’ book, Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You, written in collaboration with author and historian Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, is a gripping, fast-paced and energizing narrative that illuminates the many insidious forms of racist ideas and give readers the tools to identify and stamp out racist thoughts in their own lives.
Reynolds currently lives and writes in Washington, D.C., and has served three terms as the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature.
