The owner of a Wilton restaurant is facing a criminal charge tied to an investigation at another one of his establishments, according to multiple media reports.

Ljatif “Tony” Ramadani, identified in reports as the owner of Red Rooster Pub in Wilton, has been charged with bribery of a witness following a Connecticut State Police investigation.

The charge is linked to alleged incidents at MIX Prime Steakhouse in Woodbury, which Ramadani also owns. Media reports say the case stems from accusations that a former head chef at that location sexually assaulted several employees.

According to accounts citing an arrest warrant, investigators allege Ramadani offered money to individuals with knowledge of the allegations in an effort to discourage them from coming forward.

The chef, Walid Gad, has been charged separately in connection with multiple alleged assaults involving employees, according to published reports.

Ramadani, a Ridgefield resident, turned himself in to authorities and was released after posting bond. He is expected to appear in court in April, reports said.

All reported incidents are connected to the Woodbury restaurant and not to his Wilton business.

The investigation is ongoing.
