The Riverbrook Regional Wilton YMCA buzzed with excitement over the weekend of Dec. 6-7 as it hosted the annual Tom Jagelka Snowflake Invitational gymnastics meet. The event brought together 330 gymnasts from five area YMCAs — Darien, Lakewood Trumbull, Westport/Weston, Meriden/New Britain/Berlin, Rye and Wilton — for two days of spirited competition.

This year’s invitational was particularly special for many athletes, as a number of Wilton YMCA gymnasts had recently advanced to higher competition levels. For several, this meet marked their debuts at these new levels, adding an extra layer of anticipation and achievement to the event.

Wilton Y’s own gymnasts delivered standout performances throughout the weekend, earning five individual championship titles and 31 event titles across a wide range of levels, including Levels 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, XCEL Gold and XCEL Platinum.

In team placements, Wilton YMCA squads made a strong showing: the Level 2 team finished third, while the Level 3, 4, 6 and 7 teams all captured first place. The XCEL Gold team secured a second-place finish, further highlighting Wilton’s depth and talent across the board.

The Tom Jagelka Snowflake Invitational continues to be a highlight of the local gymnastics calendar, offering athletes the chance to showcase their skills, support their teammates, and celebrate the spirit of friendly competition.

The following are placement results from Wilton YMCA gymnasts participating in Levels 2-8 and XCEL Gold and XCEL Platinum:
