GOOD Morning Wilton couldn’t be happier to announce a partnership with Wilton-based photographer Andrea Topalian, whose successful business, Moments by Andrea Photography, has set the bar for telling amazing, emotional stories through portrait and family photography.
We profiled Topalian back in September, and have always been impressed with her ability to capture intangible moments in the lives of her child subjects, those spectacular moments of childhood that parents know are the most fleeting and difficult to keep for forever. It’s completely appropriate that her business is called “Moments by Andrea.”
Back then we wrote that “the moments Topalian usually catches digitally are ones of connection, sort of like capturing the essence of her subject and their family bonds.”
So it made us thrilled to know that she liked the mission of GMW enough to want to collaborate, especially on the kinds of stories that profile people who give back to the community, or who have an extraordinary story to tell. Our partnership will involve Topalian taking special portraits of meaningful GMW story subjects in order to highlight GOOD efforts within Wilton, and to promote connections within the community.
“We both are kindred spirits, I think,” Topalian said. “We like to pay it forward and use our talents to help the community in any way we can, we want to put the good out there. I tell the story with images and you tell it with words, I’m just excited we both get to put it together.”

The first example of the teamwork between the two of us was for a profile we did of Maxine Braten, a Wilton woman who beat leukemia after receiving a bone marrow donation. So many people remarked on the incredible glow Braten has in the picture–something we both wanted to capture in our own way.
We’re looking forward to many more successful such collaborations.
