For the 25th year, the Kiwanis Club of Wilton is planning the club’s annual Homefront rehabilitation of a local residence, on Saturday, May 6. This will be the third time Kiwanis has partnered with Bankwell Financial to help with the repairs and clean up. The group will be working on a house in Norwalk that is in need of yard clean-up, rebuilt stairway, light masonry, painting, junk removal, and light carpentry work.

“The partnership works well because both organizations put in money and manpower to get the job done,” says Kiwanis member Bud Taylor. “This is a wonderful annual event and leaves all the volunteers with a feeling of having helped a fellow person in need.”

The project is being led by Kiwanis members Kevin Craw and Bob Parisot.

Originally called Americares, HomeFront is now a separate non-profit organization operating in three states with teams of volunteers fixing up homes for people who no longer are able to do so on their own.

Founded in 1951, Wilton Kiwanis is the Town’s oldest Service Club. For more information or to volunteer, contact Taylor at 203.354.0208.
