There’s always been something personally endearing about hearts and Valentine’s Day, with a birthday that falls just three days after the 14th of February. So here’s hoping you’ll allow a little leeway for a bit of a breather–chalk it up to snowstorm-imposed cabin fever, blame it on the birthday, or let’s just call it a case of love-bug fever, but we’re taking a much-needed 4-day break at GOOD Morning Wilton.

Truth be told, we’re feeling it a little deeper than the glib, commercial side of the day pushed by Hallmark. Getting over a recent 5-week bout of stress-induced shingles is one reminder; re-reading the profile we just ran of heart-attack survivor Nancy Capelle was another. It is heart-health awareness month after all. A mental-health break can be a heart-health break too.

So take this reminder to appreciate the time with the little and big loves in your life, and to take a little time for yourselves. That’s what we’ll be doing until GMW returns on Tuesday morning, Feb. 18. As always, we promise lots of GOOD things for you to read when we do.
