There’s harmony, and then there’s harmonic convergence. With ten current members of the Wilton Singers they’ve converged in the singing group with a great deal of harmony rooted in history.
Each of the ten members graduated from Wilton High School, as members of different graduating classes between 1979 and 2007; all ten sang in WHS select choruses while they were students. As adults they’ve found a continued creative outlet as members of the Wilton Singers, a community singing group that was founded to provide an outlet for adult participation in small ensemble singing, to support the Wilton High School choral program, and to foster an interest in choral singing within the community.
The ten are getting ready for the Singers’ upcoming dinner and concert “NOEL! A Christmas Feast” on Dec. 6 and 7. Tickets are now onsale, via the Wilton Singers’ website. As of presstime, the group’s website says that tickets are $60 each, and tables of 10 may be purchased for $600. Tickets for Friday, Dec. 6 are almost sold out and online payment for Friday tickets is no longer being accepted.
