To the Editor:
Last weekend, more than 180 people gathered at Rolling Hills Country Club to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Friends of Ambler Farm (FoAF). Our “Once Upon a Farm” celebration honored our first 20 years, underscoring the deep connections and unique spirit that define our community, while looking towards the future with enthusiasm and excitement.
Ambler Farm is, above all else, a place that fosters connection. Those deep connections were palpable on Friday evening.

This milestone event was made possible with the generous support of our sponsors and donors, led by ASML, whose volunteerism and partnership has been transformative. We thank Tauck, Aquarion, Tom and Maria Wilcox, Village Market, GOOD Morning Wilton, Bayer Law and Ed’s Garage Doors for their valuable support. We are also deeply grateful to the Town of Wilton for its continued partnership, and to our dedicated board members, staff, committee members, and volunteers whose passions sustain the farm year after year.
As we celebrate 20 years, we are reminded that the Friends of Ambler Farm’s success belongs to the entire community. We invite everyone to visit, participate, and help carry this shared effort forward into the next chapter.
To that end, please vote after the Annual Town Meeting on Tuesday, May 5 or on Saturday, May 9. There are two Ambler referendums. The Board of Selectmen has approved and the Board of Finance has endorsed a $1,367,749 bond for the renovation of the Yellow House. This will finish the Ambler Farmstead, completing the preservation of the farm’s buildings and will ultimately cost taxpayers $0 over time through rent paid to the town. The second referendum is to codify the long-awaited lease agreement between the Town of Wilton and Ambler Farm and opens doors for future grant funding.
To learn more, join us for an open house on Saturday, May 2, at Ambler, or visit our website. These referendums enable Ambler Farm to continue to thrive for generations to come, strengthening the deep connections that enrich our shared community.
We’ll see you at the farm!
With gratitude,
Ashley Kineon
