Ambler Farm is hiring!

A part-time, paid farming position is available at Ambler Farm for the 2017 season.

True to its motto, Ambler Farm is a place where good things grow. To help with this growth, the farm is looking for a person to work with Farmer Jonathan Kirschner and other employees and volunteers in the Ambler Farm greenhouse and fields from late-February through October. Hours will range from 5-20 hours per week, and will be on the longer side of that range as the season progresses.

This individual’s main role will be seeding, watering, and transplanting in the greenhouse, gradually shifting into harvesting and field work as the Wilton Farmer’s Market and Ambler Farm’s own farm stand open in late May. This individual must be willing to work in varying climactic conditions and be able to lift 50 pounds. He/she should have some flexibility in the times and days they can work, be dependable, detail-oriented and able to work independently. This person will be on their feet for long periods of time.

No experience necessary. Interested applicants should contact Jonathan Kirschner, director of agriculture via email.
