Kevin Meehan is a YouTube star! That’s right, Ambler Farm‘s program director and Cider Mill science teacher Kevin Meehan is headlining a series of videos that the farm has posted to YouTube showcasing their honey bee program.
In the first video, Meehan explains how he plans on hiving bees newly arrived at the farm from Georgia, in time to get them installed for spring and summer. His challenge? With 12,000 bees in one small box, he has to extract the queen…and only the queen, without letting any of the other bees escape. How does he fare against thousands of buzzing honey makers? Watch!
