Continuing its trend of supporting local organizations and individual, Bankwell donated $5,000 to Wilton Rocks for Food, an annual music concert fundraiser that benefits the Connecticut Food Bank and the Wilton Food Pantry. Wilton Rocks was the brainchild of Wilton resident Andy Schlesinger, a lifelong guitar player who established the Wilton Rocks for Food House Band with fellow musicians Dan Berg and Brennan Gildersleeve in 2015.
This year’s event will take place at Trackside Teen Center in Wilton on Saturday, Dec. 2, and will features more than 30 musicians playing four hours of music to a sold out crowd of 300. Wilton Rocks raised $26,000 the first year, $48,000 in year two and has already raised $70,000 this year, hoping to reach $80,000 by show day, to be evenly split between the two charities that provide food to needy Connecticut residents.
