Bankwell in Wilton returned as a sponsor this year of Trackside Teen Center’s 6th Annual Take a Swing Fore the Kids Golf Tournament, which was held earlier this month at Oak Hills Park Golf Club.

“We are delighted to have Bankwell sponsor our golf event once again this year,” says Mark Ketley, Trackside executive director, pictured above with Ann Mitrione, branch manager of Bankwell in Wilton. “They continue to be a big supporter of our teens and our community.”

Bankwell has been steadily supportive of local organization since acquiring Wilton Bank in 2013, which also had a significant level of such support before the merger. Diane Knetzger, Bankwell’s director of marketing, says the bank is dedicated to giving back to the community.

“We are proud to be actively involved with our community partners in support of so many initiatives that benefit the residents and businesses of Wilton. As a community bank, we take our role of being a good neighbor seriously and we work hard to align ourselves with many of the organizations and events that make Wilton such an extraordinary place to live and work,” Knetzger says.

In addition, to the Trackside event, some of the local events and groups that the bank has recently supported include the Wilton Education Foundation Get Smart for Wilton 5K, Wilton Go Green, Ambler Farm, and the Wilton High School Girls Tennis team; Bankwell is also looking forward to being a sponsor of the 19th Annual Arthur J. Wall, Jr. Golf Outing in September. The Kiwanis Club of Wilton also recently recognized Bankwell for their partnership and volunteerism on the recent Homefront Project.
