Home runs are better than strike outs (obviously!) so don’t strike out and miss Wilton Little League registration. Registration is now open for the spring 2014 baseball season. Please go to the Wilton Little League website home page, click on the ‘register online’ tab on the left menu and follow the prompts.

As of Jan. 18, there will be a $75 late fee imposed to anyone registering on or after that date

Wilton Little League will hold its mandatory player evaluations for baseball players in 3rd grade through 7th grade (or little league age 12) on Sunday, Jan. 26 at the Wilton High School Field House. All baseball players in 3rd grade through 12-years-old, with the exception of returning Major League players, must attend their assigned evaluation session to be placed on a Spring 2014 team. The evaluation sessions divide players based on their little league age for the Spring 2014 season. Their little league age is their age as of April 30, 2014.  If you played Major League (the highest LL division) in 2013, you do not need to attend evaluations.

Evaluations of players are conducted in order to create more balanced teams.  After stretching/warming up, players will be evaluated in four different stations (fielding, hitting, pitching and running).  The evaluations will take place in the Wilton High School Field House .  All baseball players are asked to wear sneakers and bring their glove.  Any players new to Wilton Little League must bring an original birth certificate for age verification and a copy for WLL to keep on file.

Evaluations will take place according to the following schedule on Sunday, January 26th:

  • 1:00  Registration begins for first age group
  • 1:15 – 2:00 p.m. – 8-years old on or prior to April 30, 2014
  • 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. – 9-years old on or prior to April 30, 2014
  • 2:45 – 3:30 p.m. – 10-years old on or prior to April 30, 2014
  • 3:30 – 4:00 p.m. – 11-years old on or prior to April 30, 2014
  • 4:00 –  4:30 p.m. – 12-years old on or prior to April 30, 2014

Players must arrive at their scheduled time.  No players will be evaluated early or after their time slot is closed.  Parents are requested to stay on-site during evaluations. There will be a make-up session on Sunday, Feb. 2, at the Field House from 3-6 p.m., for those children who are unable to attend the Jan. 26 session.
