Wilton High School Theatre returns to the stage this week in what promises to be a deeply heartwarming show. Big Fish The Musical is based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the Tim Burton movie written by John August. August also wrote the book for the musical with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. Big Fish The Musical ran on Broadway in 2013 and is currently in development for a Broadway revival.

Join Wilton High School Theatre for a performance that includes something for everyone and a little bit of everything that is wonderful about theater. Appropriate for all ages, Big Fish will whisk theatergoers away on the journey of Edward Bloom. His extraordinary, larger-than-life tales captivate everyone around him. Overflowing with humor, heart and imagination, this unique production promises to be a theatrical experience that’s bigger, funnier and more memorable than life itself.

The show runs at the WHS Clune Center for the Arts (395 Danbury Rd.) on Friday, May 16 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, May 17 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, May 18 at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for seniors and students, and $20 for adults. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Wilton High School Theatre website.

The show is directed by Producer and Artistic Director Kathryn Luckstone, assistant directed by WHS alum Jack Parrotta, choreographed by WHS alum Jorie Janeway, and music directed by WHS choir teacher Will Mandelbaum. It features a special appearance of Cider Mill 4th grade performer Tanner Boland as ‘Young Will’ and an orchestra made up of a majority of WHS students.

The cast and crew of Big Fish includes Tallulah Alder, Nicole Allers, Daisy Beach, Ishaan Bherwani, Julia Bloss, Tanner Boland, Aiden Cannavino, Ben Cannavino, Tyler Coppola, Harper Crawford, Oliver Davies, Lea DeBernardis, Will DeBernardis, Lily DeMasi, Sophia DeVito, Haldan Dickinson, Quinn Dickinson, Isaac Downs, Katherine Duke, Emily Durkee, Adam Famous, Grace Fanelli, Shae Farago, Gabby Fermin, Meira Flavin, Liam Gallary, Arwen Garcia, Sofie Gibboney, Riley Griffin, Taylor Halfacre, Lydia Hall, Gapika Kaimal, Arden Hamilton, Elle Hawthorne, Ellery Helgesen, Zach Helgesen, Grace Hoermann, Hannah Hsu, Evan Johnson, Caisie Kennedy, Maya Kesselman, Talia Kesselman, Emma Kong, Lucia Kwei, Julia LaBant, Kokona Layne, Mateo Lennon, Makenna Lindauer, Alex MacDonald, Peyton MacDonald, Jasper MacNaughton, TJ McCormick, Ellie Meyer, Kara Mobyed, Madison Morin, Caroline Morris, Ellis Nichols, Sophie Nurczyk, Maria Paschalidis, Maddy Passaro, Diana Peregon, Alex Piazza, Charlie Purcell, Nico Quintero, Gavin Rafferty, Keira Rafferty, Julia Richards, Royce Richards, Erin Robins, Finn Ryder, Anshika Saagi, Nick Somma, Mia Timnev, Vivaan Uttamchandani, Noah, Van Den Heuvel, Kendra Ward, Leila Ward, Hayden Zapotosky, Paul Zhang, Sophia Zheng and Nicola Zhou.
