This week Cider Mill will be hosting its first ever Summer Reading Book Fair. Opening today, Monday, May 23, the book fair will be open 7 a.m.-3 p.m. every day this week, closing Friday, May 27. The book fair is set up in the South Gym (walk thru Belden Hill to get there).

According to Hillary Morrissy, the PTA chair of the book fair, this book fair is just about books, and helping families focus on finding age-appropriate books for summer reading.

“With over 1,000 titles, our goal is to get one great book into every student’s hand. Unlike the Fall Book Fair, you won’t find Guinness, Lego, cookbooks or bookmarks at this sale. Instead, our focus is on fiction and non-fiction books leveled to our Cider Mill readers.”

To help parents and students choose, there will be a copy of the not-yet-released, newly improved, Summer Reading Suggestion List, complete with reading levels. Parents are encouraged to stop by during the school day to check out the list and stock up on some fun titles.
