Yesterday’s Coffee with a Cop program was a big success, as people turned out in force to meet Wilton’s Police Force. More than a dozen officers greeted residents at Tusk and Cup, spending two hours answering questions, chatting, and finding out what’s on the minds of the people they protect.

The effort was the second time Wilton’s officers reached out to the community this way, after finding last year’s Coffee with a Cop a successful way to get to know the community better. Sgt. Stephen Sisenstein organized this year’s meet and greet, and said the department has been making a concerted effort to engage the community through more personal and positive interactions.
