9:00 A.M. The NWS has cancelled the warning about windy, cold temps, saying the front has pushed further eastward and has passed our area.
The following special weather statement has been issued by the National Weather Service for our area on Monday, Nov. 18.:
A STRONG…QUICK MOVING COLD FRONT IS FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE
TRI-STATE REGION EARLY MONDAY MORNING. THIS FRONT IS EXPECTED TO
BRING A NARROW LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING LOCALIZED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. MUCH OF THE AREA WILL
SEE GUSTY WINDS DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT WITH GUSTS OF 30 TO 40
MPH…WITH THE HIGHEST GUSTS COMING ALONG AND JUST AHEAD OF THE
THIS FRONT IS EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE LOWER HUDSON VALLEY AND
NORTHEAST NEW JERSEY BETWEEN 3 AND 5 AM…AND THEN FROM NEW YORK
CITY AND POINTS EAST BETWEEN 5 AND 9 AM.
BEHIND THE FRONT…GUSTY WEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MUCH OF
