This coming Wednesday evening, Feb. 22 is the final scheduled opportunity for Wilton residents to ask school officials questions at a public forum regarding complaints raised in an anonymous letter critical of school administrators and policies. In particular the letter criticized recently-implemented policies on teacher coaching, standardized testing and more.

Following public feedback and response generated by the anonymous teacher letter, school officials made themselves available at a series of parent discussions to answer questions parents may have about the ongoing roll-out of the coaching initiative in Wilton Public Schools as well as any other issues raised in the letter.

Superintendent Dr. Kevin Smith and assistant superintendent Dr. Chuck Smith met with parents at each of the four schools last week, in discussions set up in conjunction with the PTAs at each of the schools.

Wednesday’s district-wide Community Forum will be held at the Middlebrook School Media Center on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m..
