The Wilton Conservation Commission is hosting a walk at Wild Duck Reserve on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m.. The walk is free and open to the public.
Wild Duck Reserve is an open space owned by the town. Within the park, there are trails and woods as well as spaces that provide interesting views. It’s located on the west side of town, off of Thayer Pond Rd..
To reach Wild Duck Reserve from Wilton Center, take Route 33 North 1.3 miles to Drum Hill Rd.; turn left onto Drum Hill Rd. and turn at the first right, which is Cheese Spring Rd.. Go 1 mile to Thayer Pond Rd. and turn left, and proceed 1.2 miles on Thayer Pond Rd. to Wild Duck Rd.. Turn left onto Wild Duck Rd. and locate parking along the north side of the road near the entrance.
Attendees should wear appropriate footwear. Refreshments will be served following the walk with an opportunity to ask questions.
