Minks to Sinks wouldn’t be the largest and best outdoor tag sale in Connecticut without the generous donations and consignments from area residents. This year, the Fall 2017 sale starts on Saturday, Oct. 7.  Next week, Janel Cassara, the current Minks to Sinks chairman, and the over 190 Minks to Sinks volunteers will begin accepting consignments and donations at the Minks to Sinks site, under the huge white tents at the intersection of School Rd. and Rte. 7/Danbury Rd.. Donation and consignment days and times are Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4 p.m.-6 p.m.; and Thursday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m..

The sale is a great reason to clean out closets, attics, drawers and garages.

“The sale is a wonderful way to recycle because items that people don’t want or use anymore find new homes. You never know what treasures you’ll discover when you shop at Minks to Sinks. It could be anything from a brand new Cuisinart toaster oven, a beautiful mid-century modern teak table, a Pottery Barn rug, a set of 12 crystal wine glasses, a TUMI rolling bag or a vintage mink coat. You’d be surprised how many shoppers find something they always wanted or something they never knew they needed, but now can’t live without!” says Cassara.

Anyone wishing to consign or donate items is encouraged to go to the Minks to Sinks website to review the list of items that will be accepted before they bringing merchandise to the tents. The Minks to Sinks sale opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7.  Bargain days are Sunday, Oct. 8 from noon-4 p.m., when all merchandise is half-price, and Monday, Oct. 9 from 9 a.m.-11:30 p.m., when shoppers can fill up a bag for just $7!
