That’s right, as of press time Sunday night, the National Weather Service had issued a Winter Weather Advisory for today, Monday, Nov. 17 so we’re expecting that as you’re reading this, there’s white, cold stuff on the ground–at least a little bit, or at least enough to make the morning commute even less pleasant than usual.
According to the advisory, in effect from 9 p.m. Sunday evening until 10 a.m. Monday morning, we’ll expect “snow…sleet…and freezing rain…” al throughout the tri-state area. They warn of snow and ice hazards, even though expected snow accumulation likely won’t be more than one inch. The advisory cautions about possible ice conditions (less than a tenth of an inch of ice) and temperatures in the low 30s.
Slippery roads and limited visibilities will make driving conditions hazardous, compounded by likely freezing rain. Use caution while driving.
