Daniel S. Costello, 54 years old of Wilton passed away Sept. 19, 2024. Dan was born March 11, 1970, in Schenectady, NY to James and Mary Virginia Costello. He graduated from Wilton High School in 1988 and went on to study at St. Bonaventure University. He graduated from Sacred Heart University where he earned a degree in finance and worked at GE Investment post-college.
Dan enjoyed golfing and was a diehard Cowboys, Celtics and Red Sox fan. He also enjoyed playing cards, running the family basketball and football pools, watching action movies, and joking and laughing with friends and family.
Dan is survived by his mother Mary Virginia Costello, his brothers James Costello (wife Kathleen), Thomas Costello (wife Christine), sister Susan Costello Gast, and his loving nieces and nephews Kevin Costello (wife Lauren), Kelly Costello Freedy (husband Rob), Shane Gast, Thomas, Cassidy, Halley and Jack Costello, and his great nephew Charlie Freedy. He will also be missed by his dog Bella. He enters heaven’s gates greeted by his father James, his sister Maureen, as well as many aunts, uncles, grandparents and dear friends.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 23, from 4-8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home (92 East Ave., Norwalk). A funeral service for Dan will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Our Lady of Fatima Church (229 Danbury Rd.), followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery.
