Earlier this week, Wilton deputy fire chief/emergency management director Mark Amatrudo was recognized as the “Emergency Manager of the Year for 2016” by the Northeast States Emergency Consortium (NESEC). This is an eight-state consortium which selects one person per year who has made outstanding contributions in the field of emergency management.

Amatrudo was recognized for his tireless work with Wilton CERT, the Wilton School systems (public and private), the CT State Citizen Corps Advisory Board, and in many other emergency management capacities over the past 10 years.
