Music on the Hill is inviting Wilton residents to devote a Saturday morning to fun with handbells and the people who ring them!

The arts group Music on the Hill is holding a Summer Ring for handbell players on Saturday, July 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the WEPCO church complex (48 New Canaan Rd./Rte. 106).

The Summer Ring will be a Twelve Bells music reading session led by artistic director Ellen Dickinson. Participants will read through music arranged for small ensembles of six ringers playing 12 bells. The session will include multiple ensembles, with parts doubled on chimes, handbells, and Whitechapel bells. Players may register as single ringers or invite bell-ringing friends. Music will be available for purchase, if desired, following the session.

The cost to participate in the Summer Ring is $40, which includes lunch. Registration needs to be completed no later than Thursday, July 14 via email.
